## Tree Felling in Richmond & Twickenham 

Richmond’s appeal is its tree cover, and the borough regulates it accordingly. Conservation Areas blanket Richmond Hill, Kew, Ham, St Margarets and much of Twickenham, and individual TPOs sit on a high proportion of the mature specimens in private gardens. The tree stock is heavy: mature London plane, horse chestnut, lime and cedar, much of it Victorian and much of it very close to listed or period property. We fell these by climbing and sectional dismantling with rigging on every limb, and where the setting is particularly sensitive we bring in a MEWP so the climber can work at a fixed, controlled position rather than moving through a decayed canopy.

Access in Richmond and St Margarets is the other cost driver. Narrow riverside lanes, controlled parking and restricted turning points mean we often need a permit or suspension to position the chipper. We price that into the written quote up front, and we plan the day so the road is clear again as early as possible.
